Thank You

I was talking with a friend about his son's recent tour in the military. He shared with me some of the sacrifices that men and women make to serve their country. They enter the service as young adults and through incredible discipline, commitment and strength, they become men and women of valor. Their lives are forever changed in both good and very difficult ways.

We celebrate our veterans this week. Each one has a unique story of service. I can't begin to understand or fully appreciate the sacrifices that so many have given to ensure our freedom and our way of life.

When I see our men and women who are serving, I try to thank them for their service. To be honest, that seems inadequate. There are no words to adequately express my appreciation for our veterans and our active military men and women.

The truth is that we all should take the time to say to our veterans and active military - Thank you for making a difference in all of our lives.
